Map Of Locations In Yosemite Valley And Along Glacier Point Road
Half Dome In Morning Light, Taken From Washburn Point Along Glacier Point Road. Glacier Point
Road Runs Up Into The High Country South Of Yosemite Valley, And Provides Several Vantage
Points (Glacier Point, Washburn Point And Taft Point) Providing Spectacular Views Down Into
The Valley.
A Closer Look At Half Dome, Again From Washburn Point.
A Slightly Different View Of Half Dome, This Time From Glacier Point. Below Half Dome Is Tenaya
Canyon, Where Mirror Lake Is Located (At This Time Of Year, It's Actually Mirror Dry Lake Bed).
The Mirror Lake Trail Goes Up One Side Of The Canyon, And Back On The Other Side.
Upper And Lower Yosemite Falls From Taft Point. Or At Least They Would Be If There Was Still Any
Snow In The High Country. At The Time I Was There, In Late October, There Was No Snow Melt To Feed
The Falls And They Were Bone Dry. I Imagine They Look Pretty Spectacular From This Vantage Point At
The Height Of The Spring And Summer Flows. At The Base Of The Falls Is Yosemite Village And Yosemite
Lodge, Where I Stayed. Half Dome And Tenaya Canyon (See The Previous Photo) Are Just To The Right
Of This Scene, Out Of The Frame.
Taft Point On The Left And El Capitan In The Distance, On The Other Side Of The Valley. You Can
Just Make Out Two People On Taft Point. It's A 3000' Drop Straight Down To The Valley Floor From
There, So It's Definitely Not For Those With A Fear Of Heights. Taft Point Is A Short 1 Mile Hike
From Glacier Point Road Over A Relatively Flat Trail. The Views From There Are Incredible.
A Closer View Of El Capitan From Taft Point.
One Of Several Large Granite Domes Along Tioga Road. This One Is Near Olmstead Point. These
Domes Cover Large Areas And Are Fun To Scramble Around On.
A Western Juniper (I Think) Growing Right Out Of The Granite.
Tenaya Lake, Viewed From Above Olmstead Point Along Tioga Road.
Tenaya Lake, With Polly Dome On The Left.
Evidence For Poltergeists?? You Be The Judge.
More Evidence For Poltergeists. I Found Their Handiwork Everywhere.
Poltergeists Are Busy Little Apparitions, Aren't They.
I Haven't Quite Figured This One Out. It's Probably Not Poltergeists, Since There's No
Stacking. Goblins Perhaps??
