Map Of Locations In Yosemite Valley And Along Glacier Point Road

The Classic View Of The Entrance To Yosemite Valley, Taken From Tunnel View In Late Afternoon Light. El Capitan Is On The Left, Cathedral Rocks And Bridalveil Falls Are On The Right, Half Dome Is Peeking Out In The Middle Of The Frame, And Sentinel Rock Juts Out Between Cathedral Rocks And Half Dome.

A Closer Look At Cathedral Rocks, Again Taken From Tunnel View. The Rightmost peak is Leaning Tower, The Site Of The Tragic Death Of Mountain Climber Todd Skinner On 23 October 2006, Who Died While Pioneering A New Route Up This Peak.

A View Of El Capitan And Cathedral Rocks From The Valley Floor, With the Merced River In The Foreground. This Was Taken From The Valley View Pullout.

Cathedral Rocks Reflected In The Merced River In Late Afternoon Light, Taken From Valley View. Bridalveil Falls Is Barely Visible Behind The Trees In The Center Of The Image.

A Closer View Of Bridalveil Falls Catching The Late Afternoon Sunlight. In Late October, Only A Trickle Of Water Falls.

The Golden Leaves Of The Black Oaks Arching Over The Road Made It Seem Like Driving Through A Tunnel Of Light.

The Ahwahnee Hotel Is Definitely The Poshest Lodging In The Park, With Their Nicest Room Going For Over $900/Night (A Bit Out Of My Price Range). Presidents, Royalty And Other Dignitaries Have Stayed At The Ahwahnee Over The Years, But The Most Distinguished Guest In My Opinion Was Ansel Adams, Who Lived In The Hotel For Some Time.

Another Boulder And More Fall Color Beside Mirror Lake Trail

Yet Another Boulder And Even More Fall Color Beside Mirror Lake Trail. I Guess I Have A Thing For Boulders And Fall Color :-) I Really Liked This Trail. It's A Short Hike, Only About Four To Five Miles Around, And Well Worth The Exercise. The Boulder And Fall Color Shots Were Taken On The Eastern Side Of The Trail, Below Half Dome.

Mushrooms Beside Mirror Lake Trail. I Wonder If I Have A Thing For Mushrooms As Well?

A Mossy Log Beside Mirror Lake Trail. I Guess I Just Liked The Colors.

Tenaya Creek Below Mirror Lake.
